Booking Terms

When you make a booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions.


The price includes accommodation with breakfast and all taxes. We accept the following forms of payment: cash, cheque, most debit cards, most credit cards (with a surcharge of 2%).


A deposit of £50.00 per room is required to secure your reservation, payable by either cheque or card.


Well behaved children of any age are accepted – we have a cot, high chair or booster seat if required.


We do not accept pets at Watendlath Guest House.

Take Away Food

Guests are not permitted to bring take away food into their rooms with our prior permission.


It is against the law to smoke anywhere on the premises and we ask guests to observe this policy at all times. Anyone thought to be smoking in their room will be asked to leave and will be charged £100.00 for deep cleaning of the fabrics and furnishings in addition to the rest of your stay.

Cancellation and Insurance

Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations made up to 7 days before your booking you will not be liable for the total balance. For cancellations made after this time or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling you will be liable for the total amount should we not be able to re let the accommodation. For this reason you may wish to take out cancellation insurance.


We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was unacceptable to you then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.


Check in is from 3.00pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We would appreciate you telephoning to let us know if you are delayed on the day of arrival.


Check out time is 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. No reduction will be made if you choose to cut short your pre-arranged stay. Your bill for the accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable on departure but can be available at any time during your stay. Luggage can be stored for collection later in the day.

Damages and Breakages

Please let us know if anything is broken or not working in your room. Although we accept normal wear and tear, you are liable for any damage or breakages you cause to the accommodation. Please report these as soon as they occur.


We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Data Protection

Any data gathered during this booking will be held securely.
